The Awakening

I sailed my bark upon the sea of time,Where cold materiality seemed real;I came upon the shoals of sands where oftI stayed, the shoals of pleasure, sin, and greed;I looked around and dreamed of sudden wealth;I sought again and found but shifting sandWithout a helping, guarding hand to guideMe on to stable land, where safety is.

A Prayer

Give me the understanding love which seesBeneath distorting trick of word and deedThe heart that yearns for God.

Simplicity

Wouldst know Truth's sacred lore?

Warfare

Serpents and scorpions and deadly thingsYou fightOutright.

Resource

To-day

Let Truth be Truth to me to-day,And let me know no wrong; My thoughts, my steps, turn unto Thee,Within my heart a song.
