God-evolved

Helter-skelter spiraling earthward,Whirligig wheeling round and around,Bound on an axis man-made,short-lived,Shackled in chains on a pre-set route?

Awake to reflection

I am awake to reflection!I cannot be duped into a lethargic stupornot knowing which road to take.

Love unpossessed

Once love was in a guarded box,A jewel I'd hid away,A precious object—mine, possessed.

No rugged, pillowed stone or shallow sleepshows us that God is always present whereour path seems hidden and our sorrow deep.

From a distant village

Could tribal customs, superstition, fear, hinder the healing power of Godfrom reaching her—a mother standing at the doorin anguish, her baby dying(so they said)?

The healing

I prayed so long.

"Thou shalt be as the morning"

Yes, thou shalt—thou art, in fact, now dawning—each day brighter, clearer, nearer Truth—whose light you are.

Obedient day

Oh, how fulfilling: obedient day! When I feel the power of the prayer I pray,I set aside all fear and pride to quietly obeywith the ordered pace of Christly grace.

Precept upon precept

Lazarus awakestayed not in tombbut walked toward light—bound, yet free.
