Rise and Rejoice

Rise and rejoice!Earth's little tasks cannot hinder or bind us;Heavenly errands our feet still employ,Heavenly messages swiftly we carry,Heavenly torches of comfort we kindle.

Hope

Still in my heart a faint glow burned,An ember that refused to die; With faltering hope to God I turned,And prayed that He might heed my cry.

Sufficiency

Across the million miles of nightThe beam that shines from younder star,Bringing its message from afar,Bears witness to the source of light.

The Poor Wise Man

He sat within his walls, and thoughtThe high, clean thoughts of one who walks with God;About him swirled the city's toil and strife:Enchained by sin and pain his brother trod.

A Prayer

Teach me obedience, O Father-Mother God,That I may humbly pass 'neath Thy correcting rod.
