So many changes–and wonderful adventures
My husband and I moved from California to Boston, Massachusetts, two years ago (because my husband had just found a new job). In recently renewing our apartment lease, I was reminded of our move to the city and those first few months of settling into our new home. It wasn’t easy being newlyweds in a new city with new jobs. There were so many changes!
One of my greatest challenges has always been dealing with change. My mom has reminded me, “It’s not hard to change; it just seems too easy to stay where you are.” Staying put, remaining in my comfort zone, has always been easier than facing something new. And two years ago, staying put in California sure sounded safer than navigating a new life in Boston.
But I knew standing still wouldn’t get me anywhere (especially to a new city!). It wouldn’t allow me to enjoy life with my husband, continue with my career, or experience all the wonderful adventures on divine Life’s path.
