God's day

Quietly listening to God is one of my favorite daily activities. I often call this my “daily work,” and what lovely work it is. Being quiet, still, and receptive to divine Love’s perfect ideas and hearing that “still small voice” brings such confidence to my day. I realize that it is God’s plan, God’s day, and I am watching it unfold with the expectancy of good.

Mrs. Eddy gives us the beautiful definition of day in the Glossary of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and I think of it often: “DAY. The irradiance of Life; light, the spiritual idea of Truth and Love” (p. 584).

One Tuesday morning, as I was listening quietly, the thought strongly came to go to my church. I had been planning to go on Thursday to take care of some cleaning there, but Love was guiding me to go now, on Tuesday.
