Boundless Light—a new book of healing poetry
Healing insights can often come in surprising ways. This is certainly true of poems found in the Christian Science periodicals over the past hundred and thirty years. One poem may give us a small gem, a specific insight that meets a particular need. Another may present us with a whole handful of truths and show how they can be applied through prayer. Some poems almost thunder with the authority of Truth and divine Science. Others touch more quietly on the thought, though with the same loving authority.
This new collection, Boundless Light—Poems of Healing, is filled with such poetry, all of it luminous with the healing light of divine Love. This book is not a textbook for healing, nor does it begin to compass the full scope of Christian Science healing, but each poem takes the reader back to the source of healing, the divine Science of being, revealed in the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy.

The editors who compiled this collection were happily surprised by the number of poems ultimately selected that they originally were not familiar with. We hope that readers will also find poems that are both familiar and new to them. The same holds true for the poets in this collection—some names are well known, others may be unknown. All share a love of Christian Science and a unique ability to be a scribe for the inspiration of Soul.
Boundless Light is meant to be an inspiring read for anyone who loves poetry, and cherishes spiritual healing. In the words of the Psalmist, may these inspirations be “a lamp unto [your] feet and a light unto [your] path” (Psalms 119:105). And maybe it will inspire you to write a poem, too!
