Inspired by the 23rd Psalm
The Lord is our great and only cause.
He gives me a quiet place to rest. It’s far
from the madding crowd and full-of-fearful headlines.
He refreshes me with His bountiful peace.
He leads me in inspired paths for
His glory, not mine.
Though I may pass through tough times—
my faith and patience may be sorely tested—
I will not fear: Your loving presence, God,
strengthens and protects me.
A feast of comforts You have prepared for me; they settle me down
in the face of threats confronting me.
You cover me with the feathers of Your grace,
You dissolve all my distress and doubt.
Certainly, You will be with me always, and
I will dwell under the panoply of Your love
forever.
