First person
I often think of God in
the third person,
as She or He,
sometimes in second person:
me thinking of You,
You knowing me.
The other day I asked
rhetorically in prayer,
“What governs me?”
and was about to answer,
“You do.”
But before I could
think that thought,
You said,
“I do!”
It startled me,
comforted me,
reminded me:
Our God
is a first-person God,
the “I am” God,
the God that is Love, Spirit, Mind,
revealing continually that
the Divine is more than
something we think about.
Divine Love is
All.
