In a safe place

How comforting it is to know that no matter where we may be, we can always be safe, because the Scriptural promises of God's help and protection are perpetual and provable!
God assured Jacob of old (Genesis 28:15), "Behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest." The ever-presence and willingness of God, divine Mind, to preserve and sustain His idea, man, was understood and proved by our Master, Christ Jesus. Through his understanding of man's sonship with the Father, he demonstrated his dominion over evil. He said to his disciples (Luke 10:19), "Behold, I give unto you power . . . over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
The message of God's nearness and availability to meet all human needs comes to us today with the power of demonstration through Christian Science. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 7), "The 'divine ear' is not an auditory nerve. It is the all-hearing and all-knowing Mind, to whom each need of man is always known and by whom it will be supplied."
