Christian Science a Revelation

Originally published in the July 15, 1889 issue of the Christian Science Series (Vol. 1, No. 6)

Jesus’ demonstrations over the beliefs of matter made him "the Way, the Truth, and the Life," for them, and for them only, who follow in the footsteps of his demonstrations.

He did not—it is evident from the tenor of the Gospels,—communicate the formula of his demonstrations to his disciples; or, if communicated the human mind was not on a plane high enough to receive it, or to maintain its practice. Hence—the rule of the operation of divine power in the healing of sickness as well as of sin, being imperfectly understood,—the manifestations, as practiced by him and them, ceased and passed into tradition.
