Birdseye view of Christian Science
Originally published in the 1889 pamphlet titled “Birdseye view of Christian Science”
Panoramas purporting to portray Christian Science have from time to time been unrolled before the public. These pictures are usually painted with the brush of prejudice. They are generally but distorted caricatures, whose colors betray the venom of their designers. Pictures seen through spectacles which do not fit our vision are always blurred to the eye.
Conclusions derived from preconceived opinions end where they begin. There is a couplet frequently quoted, or rather misquoted, from Butler's Hudibras, which is ever true:
