Uninterrupted good on the cattle ranch

My friend Molly and I were up before sunrise, brushing and saddling our horses. We were getting ready to help a friend corral the 200 yearling heifers and steers that were scattered about his large acreage in the California foothills.

As the sun rose, beautiful colors of light flickered over the land. At the ranch, we separated into teams to gather the cattle from the hidden copses and start them down out of the hills.

I felt a real sense of gratitude, love, and joy for God’s creation that morning. The work went smoothly. Three hours later the ranch owner remarked how effortlessly and successfully we had accomplished our morning task.
