Purpose

Kings and queens may ponder,
Agnostics shake their heads in doubt.
But I’m confident Your kingdom reigns,
And in me Your purpose is worked out.

Since I’ve set my heart to know You,
My fearful thought has melted to love.
Daily stir my soul to see
How purpose reigns from above.

Now, I’m no fool to worship matter,
Nor claim personal power or might.
My purpose is to daily glorify You,
As you shepherd us from dark to light.

I cannot help but tremble
As Your purpose in mine I see.
Strengthened by Your glorious promise
My heart thunders victoriously.

Hold Your ears as I glorify
Your name From the highest mount,
As I glimpse your omnipotence,
And from that pinnacle shout.

Three cheers for the Holy Spirit!
Whose holy thoughts encourage me,
As I celebrate the best manifestation,
Of Your All-in-all purpose through me.
