Harmony in marriage

Curt and Melanie Wahlberg

"At its best, marriage provides the opportunity for two people to learn more of God's qualities from each other," says Melanie Wahlberg, a Christian Science practitioner from Lake Forest, California. Her husband, Curt, a teacher and practitioner of Christian Science, is also on the chat, noting that the issue of marriage is important to individuals but also to society. "We can’t emphasize enough the importance of lives that are built on safe ground, helping one another—and that really begins at home with marriage and building outward," he says.

Together, they answer questions from site visitors about various situations that involve infidelity and dishonesty in financial matters. They also respond to questions about how to improve communication with one's spouse, to ease feelings wives often have of being burdened by extra duties such as child rearing and domestic chores, as well as how to pray about religious, age, and ethnic differences. Relationships with in-laws and achieving balance in sexual relations are also among the many topics addressed.
