Divine Allness

O Truth divine, descending as a dove,Thy voice a presence, breathing forth Thy loveIn heavenly song, expresseth good from TheeTo all who seeking light find liberty.

Freedom

I met my comrade in the way,And scarce I knew his face,So changed it was from grave to gay,So lit with light of higher day,So touched to nobler grace.

Prophecy

In God's good time the sunlight clearWill flood our paths with gleaming gold,And all the griefs of yester-yearIn gladness and great joy unfold:White blooms will spread their fragrance farO'er wide, wide fields of wrong,And sober woodland silencesBreak into silver song.

Sand, or Rock?

A certain house was builded fair to see,With massive walls and stately towers,Which through the passing sunlit hoursEchoed the sound of joyous minstrelsy.

The Awakening

God is All

Life has become so sweet,Each day with joy I greet,—God is my all.

Today

Today the gentle violetA soft assurance bears,Because the morning sun arose,And dried her dewy tears.

Creation

Darkness upon the deep,—bowed down with sorrow,Discouragement, and grief, and bitter tearsFor all that seemed to be.

THE PILGRIM

His banner over me is Love,And daily on my way I proveThe sureness of His leading;A cloak invisible it is,In which through midst of enemiesI pass unseen, unheeding.

"HE FEEDETH AMONG THE LILIES"

Why feed upon the bread of sorrow,The bitter griefs, the memories of the past,When here and now, today and each tomorrow,Christ giveth thee fresh food to break thy fast?

SYMPATHY

When sorrow comes to one I love,I would not dareTo send mere words of sympathy;I need must careEnough to send a message of good cheer,To tell the loved one that all good is here.
