We've gathered a variety of guests for this series, each with wonderful spiritual insights and proof that these spiritual ideas are effective—even for something that looms large, like politics.

From Conquering hate, enthroning peace

Love's triumph over hate

How can we love when others hate? Prayerful turning to God, divine Love, with the earnest desire to express His qualities under all circumstances will give us strength and ability to do right.

Speak to Me, Lord

Speak to me, Lord! Thy still small voiceWill sweeten the moil of the day;Elijah heard it and so may I,And so may I obey.

One of Them

They said that he was one of them—One who had heard the Master's callAnd followed close, until the WordColored his speech and life and all.

Opportunity

Life is so full of opportunity,So rich in time and place to bless another,That none may say, "I have nothing to giveTo him who sits beside the way—my brother.

"He made the stars also"

When darkened thought the glory cannot feelOf that great light God made to rule the day,Though clouds the lesser orb of night conceal,Take heart—He also made the stars! Some rayOf truth, some stars of hope and faith are nighTo lift the thought to clearer atmosphere; And as they radiate they multiply,Until the greater lights again appear.

Plenty

You need not envy me, dear friend; You have as much as I.

Demonstration

When earthly joys are broken reeds,And all their hopes have fled,Then God puts out His loving handAnd gently am I ledTo higher, purer realms of Mind,Where prayerfully I proveThat deeper joy and higher hopeThat comes from trusting Love.

This Radiant Way

Acknowledging the truth that all is well,Accepting, "Now are we the sons of God,"Believing, understanding, Love is All—With these essential joyful tidings shod,We can go forward, bearing precious gifts,Witnessing to Truth and harmony,Expecting throngs to walk this radiant way,Knowing surely that the truth makes free!

All Space Is His

They said a battle raged today somewhere—A place that bore an unfamiliar name,A fortressed island, and my thought turned thereTortured with fear, until, as evening came,I prayed and heard a still small voice come through,Tender with Love's dear promise to my heart:"God's kingdom, child of mine, is here in you;You have no consciousness nor life apartFrom Him who knows no time and fills all space.

God Is

God is my joy in the morningThat heralds a glad new day;God is my strength at noontide.

Love's Healing Streams

When the world's fierce, tempestuous error weighsWith all its burden of unreal days,Dulling the heart, how sweet to wander byUntroubled waters or a dimpling stream,And with glad heart of praiseTurn thought to HimWhose love is ever nigh,Whose government supremeNo evil mars,No hate nor terror jars,Nor darkness glooms, nor bitter envy sears,But omnipresent lightRejoices all our sight; And then to drop those faithless thoughts and dim,Dissolve to nothing those dull fearsIn His all-mantling love,And knowing Him,Trusting that careTill now unreckoned of,Wake from perturbed dreamsAnd hear,Within the heart, music of heaven's streams,As spiritual.
