Mount of Prayer

Sweet mount of prayer! With earliest morning lightMy waking thought with joy ascends to thee;Within thy quietude I seek God's face,And always find Him waiting there for me,Waiting to gird me with His strength and power; He knows my need, and that throughout the dayMy trusting heart will turn to Him each hour,And seek His loving counsel all the way.

Light

God said, Let there be light, and it was day,The formless void of night had passed away;Nor sun, nor moon, nor stars as yet were made,But Truth revealed gave light that could not fade.

Right Desire

BECAUSE my being everlastinglyIs in Thine image, and to do Thy willSustains me, for Thou gently leadest me,I know Thine omnipresence, and am still.

Confidence

AND if tomorrow come, I shall not fear.

O CHILD , though dark the night, Lift thought above the sod; Look up and see the light– So near is God!
