Prepared to teach

After recently moving to a new town, I attended the local Christian Science church for a Wednesday evening testimony meeting.
Seldom have I seen such a strong and sincere band of Christian Science warriors.
We talked, sharing stories and asking questions. We were different women from different paths.

Keeping in touch

Evil has no place where people are united in a bond of infinite Love.

Healing services

After the service I spoke to the First Reader, telling him of my healing. He said he chose the hymn and worked his readings around the ideas within the lyrics.

A ‘beam’ removed

I felt that I heard God say to me, “Oh, so you’re willing to pray for your community, but you’re not willing to pray for your own church?”

No room for comparisons

I’d left church as a young adult.

Keeping in touch

I decided to pray showers of Love, and witness to God’s presence right there.

Red sneakers

He asked with a smile, “Where are your red shoes?” My eyes brimmed with tears of joy and relief.

Embody Church—all day, every day

Opportunities began opening up almost every day for me to share something about Church and Christian Science with new people.

Much more than a songbook

I think of the music like “clothing” for prayers. So we change into whatever’s appropriate for what we’re doing, but that doesn’t change who we are or how we pray.

Keeping in touch

The President of The Mother Church, Marta Greenwood, of London, England, is not only a Christian Science practitioner and teacher, but also serves on the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.
