The novice who comes to our Reading Room inquiring about the study of Christian Science must be made to understand that our two textbooks, the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, are foundational and that it is to these books he must turn if he wants to know "what Christian Science is all about;" also, that if he really desires to progress in his understanding of God and man, the Lesson-Sermon is his invaluable aid.
Recently one who had once been a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church, but had dropped her membership in both and had given her books away upon marrying one of a different faith, came into the Reading Room and purchased two Sentinels.
