In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

A huge load dropped from my shoulders. I didn’t have to figure something out and make it happen!

Peace, be still

In prayer we silence the waves of confused thinking and lean on God’s guidance. As the clarity of spiritual ideas starts to appear, we find ourselves on a calm sea, engrounded on the rock of Christ, Truth.

God is pretty amazing

This idea of God’s practical nearness and immediacy was a revelation to me.
I go to Christian Science Sunday School.

Pruning the apricot tree

Removing dead wood unburdened the tree, and thinning the branches allowed more light and air to circulate and stimulate new growth. Similarly, the dead wood of matter-based thinking—any thinking that is not in accord with God, divine Spirit—needs to be pruned and discarded.

Solving the problem of being

This God-assignment, working out the problem of being, is a day-by-day, step-by-step, thought-by-thought achievement.
Now that it was no longer possible for me to talk with my brother, it seemed too late for a resolution. Yet, I had experienced many healings in my life through prayer in Christian Science, and I trusted that this pain could be healed, too.

Courage to give

I felt a deep desire to expand my healing ministry.

Stuck on the ski slope

Stuck and terrified at the top of a steep slope, this teen skier had no idea how she was ever going to make it to the bottom, where her mom was waiting. None of her fellow skiers came to her rescue . . . but God did.
Understanding the omnipotence of Life as eternal good helps us embrace the strength and holiness of that divine Life, which the Bible says heals all our diseases.
When a conversation becomes uncomfortable or heated, I’ve learned to turn everything over to God, divine Love. I’ve come to trust that prayer will reveal what I need to know about the natural harmony and peace that exist within and between us.
Prayer has the power to transform the way I think about myself and others.
