At its annual meeting Monday [June 5] at its Boston headquarters, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, rededicated itself to being "a Church of healers," a phrase that provided the meeting's theme.
DISTRESSING MEMORIES FROM MY PAST BUBBLED TO THE SURFACE. BUT INSTEAD OF BEING DISTURBED, I BEGAN TO REALIZE MY PRAYER WAS UNCOVERING THEM SO THEY COULD BE HEALED.
For this writer, recent "golden years" living in sheltered care haven't been tarnished by lonesomeness. She finds fresh joy in "the beautiful things of life."
