Healing in the spirit of Christ

Belief in the resurrection is central to being Christian.

A wonderful saying, spoken in Greek, marked every Easter of my childhood. Each family member and friend was greeted with "Christ is risen!" The echo response was always the same: "Truly, he is risen!"

What a marvelous greeting. Yet even more, what an event it told of—Christ Jesus' radical, humanity-blessing triumph over death and the grave!

I often think about those words, "Christ is risen." They register to human thought the fact that Jesus demonstrated for us the power of God's love to govern man. As I've learned through studying Christian Science, Jesus' resurrection was actually the consummate, scientific proof that Spirit is absolutely supreme over matter.
