A misstatement in mathematics may seem to express reality so long as one believes it to be true, but as soon as its falsity is discovered it is at once seen to state what never had any existence and what is wholly unreal.
Every new invention, discovery, or reform meets with the opposition of the world, and therefore the students of Christian Science are neither disturbed nor surprised that this Science, which is transforming their lives, should likewise meet with the opposition of those who do not understand either its aim or its methods.

Christian Science goes to the root of human misery and gives a demonstrable solution for every problem that is opposed to health and happiness; It declares that the belief of mortals in material life and substance and the consequent limitations are responsible for the fear, the strife, and the hardships of the human race; but it lifts humanity out of these conditions by giving a better view-point of existence in which Spirit is recognized to be the only creator, in accord with Scriptural teaching.
