B. Howard Grigsby, former Committee on Publication for Ceylon,
It has been brought to my notice that in your issue of June 11, under the caption "Pacifism Condemned," a bishop is reported to have said that pacifism is "anti-Christian and as blasphemous as Christian Science.
As
one looks upon world conditions today, it is difficult not to feel disturbed at the many discordant things happening all around us—wars, injustices, cruelties, persecutions, and so on—and every genuine Christian must wish to do his utmost by prayer and constructive thinking to help bring about a change in these conditions, and establish peace on earth.
Speaking
of Jesus' "unfaltering faith in the immortality of Truth," as shown in his words, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away," Mrs.
"Divine
Science, rising above physical theories, excludes matter, resolves things into thoughts, and replaces the objects of material sense with spiritual ideas".
