In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

I had these bumps on my hand and I didn’t know what they were.
The night before my final exam, I went to my friend’s house to see his parrot.
After initial news reports about hurricane Harvey, I checked in with a friend from Houston to see if she was OK and to let her know that she and her family were in my thoughts and prayers.
As College Avenue in Houston flooded one night in August, the yellow Waffle House sign at the top of the hill stayed on.
It was the day of the talent show.

How I found home

Christian Science came into my life about ten years ago while I was living abroad for a long stretch.
The almost compulsive drive to do something would have to be characterized as human will.
The realization hit me very clearly—God doesn’t age.

Invariable Life

Sometimes life seems unpredictable and unsettling—filled with risks in the form of illness, accidents, job loss, etc.
As I listened for God’s thoughts, a precious sense of His allness and ever-presence washed over me.

The way I truly am

It was the day of the ropes course challenge at the camp for Christian Scientists I was attending.
