I have given the name to all the Christian Science periodicals. The first was The Christian Science Journal, designed to put on record the divine Science of Truth; the second I entitled Sentinel, intended to hold guard over Truth, Life, and Love; the third, Der Herold der Christian Science, to proclaim the universal activity and availability of Truth; the next I named Monitor, to spread undivided the Science that operates unspent. The object of the Monitor is to injure no man, but to bless all mankind.
—Mary Baker Eddy, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 353
Why share my healing?
A Christian Science healing, “large” or “small,” is proof that anyone can experience God’s infinite love and healing power. It illustrates that physical healing, as well as transformation of thought and character, is possible—and this is good news for all of humanity!
A healing published in a testimony or article in any of the four Christian Science periodicals can inspire readers seeking healing. Or it may offer someone’s very first glimpse of the fact that there is a healing way to look at one another. Every healing shared helps to lift humanity’s thoughts and overcome its challenges.
Sharing a healing in the periodicals is all about rejoicing in the supremacy and care of divine Love—and glorifying and thanking God. An account of healing that has been “ably edited” (Mary Baker Eddy, Manual of The Mother Church, p. 44), verified, and published adds to mankind’s ongoing, permanent record showing that Christian Science is a provable, healing Science, whose good works are possible—and happening—today. And the editors are here to help you share your healing in your own unique voice, in a context that readers from many different walks of life can relate to, and in a way that’s accessible and inspiring to everyone.
