The
third chapter of Acts tells us that on one occasion two of the apostles, Peter and John, were about to enter the temple when they came upon a man who never had walked.
Many
centuries before the birth of Jesus, Isaiah prophesied that the Saviour of Israel would be named Immanuel: "The Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel".
