A prayer for London

A friend called on the morning of July 7 and asked if I'd heard about the attacks in London.
Like many people watching televised reports of the July 7 terrorist attacks in London, I was at first angry, not knowing what to do or how to think about what I was seeing.
“You can’t tell me I came from that,” my mother exclaimed.
"I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you" .
This article was written on July 7, 2005, the day a series of bombs shook central London, bringing the city to a standstill and leaving many people seriously—or fatally—wounded.
