My attention has just been called to a London despatch which contains the following statement concerning a coroner's decision: "The verdict carried a rider to the effect that Christian Science treatment in serious cases was to be deprecated, and that the taking of money in fees by Christian Scientists was decidedly unchristian conduct.
Every form of mental healing that claims to work through suggestion or through the influence of one human mind over another human mind, is opposed to the teaching of Jesus and diametrically opposed to the Principle and practice of Christian Science healing.

In attempting to prove that the distinction made by Christian Science between Jesus and Christ is at variance with Bible teaching, the critic shows that he fails to perceive Mrs.
The Century Dictionary devotes more than a column to the definition of the word "Christian," and I will therefore give only brief extracts therefrom as follows: "Pertaining to or derived from Christ or his teachings;" "Having adopted or believing in the religion of Christ;" "In accord with or exhibiting the spirit of the teachings of Christ;" "A believer in and follower of Jesus Christ;" "Specifically, one who possesses the spiritual character proper to a follower of Christ; one who exemplifies in his life the teachings of Christ.
Great as was the intellectual change wrought by the renascence, it made no outward difference in men's views of miracles.
