We have been privileged to see the following extract from a letter written by a Christian Scientist who has recently visited The Mother Church and the publishing house in Boston.
Christian Science draws a sharp distinction between creation, the things that are, as they appear to our human senses, and these things as they exist in Truth, in the divine Mind that created them.
Christian Scientists have no disposition to test their faith in the power of God by intentionally swallowing poison to see whether it would have a fatal effect.
Christian Science is a spiritual, demonstrable religion, founded upon the Bible and the works of the great teachers and prophets whose history and narratives of works appear therein.
Christian Science lays no claim to mysticism; on the contrary, its mission is to get rid of mystery, to get rid of the supernatural, and to show men the simplicity of the truth, the beauty of holiness, the naturalness of purity, of health, of good; to break down the sense of separation between God and man.
