Allergies gone for good
A few years ago, my daughter called one morning, asking me to pray for my grandson. He had missed soccer practice for two days because he was having difficulty breathing and had no energy due to allergies. I promptly ended the call so I could pray. I had been struggling with the same symptoms myself for a few months, and it was time for healing.
I opened the Christian Science Hymnal (Words Only) for inspiration. I love using the poems in the Hymnal as a starting point for prayer; they help shift my thought away from fear, distraction, and personal struggle to God’s presence, goodness, and law, which are already at work. I landed on a beloved hymn that begins,
