Grateful for swift healings
I am very grateful for the many healings I’ve had through prayer as taught in Christian Science. Some have been very quick or even instantaneous. Here are a couple of examples.
During a flu epidemic several years ago, my husband and I went to visit his mother, who was being cared for in a Christian Science nursing facility. On the journey there, I began to feel ill, so when we arrived, my husband went to see his mother, while one of the Christian Science nurses kindly showed me into a quiet room with a beautiful view.
I took a copy of Mary Baker Eddy’s Miscellaneous Writings 1883–1896 from one of the bookshelves and began to read. I don’t remember now exactly what I read, but the healing ideas in the book, the peaceful atmosphere in that room, and the prayers of the facility staff who were caring for those staying there combined to melt away my symptoms very quickly. Within minutes of entering the room, I felt completely well. Shortly afterward, my mother-in-law was also fully healed and returned home.
