Shoulder pain gone
I am very grateful for the many healings my family and I have experienced through relying on Christian Science. Some have been quick, while others have taken longer, but each one has contributed to our individual spiritual growth. I would like to share a healing that occurred a couple of years ago.
One night as I lay in bed, I found that my shoulder was so painful that I could barely turn on my side. I had heard about people dealing with shoulder problems, and it occurred to me that I had taken in the false mental suggestion that such problems were normal and could cause suffering.
Christian Science teaches the importance of being alert to what thoughts we accept into our consciousness. “Watch, and pray daily that evil suggestions, in whatever guise, take no root in your thought nor bear fruit,” Mary Baker Eddy instructs. “Ofttimes examine yourselves, and see if there be found anywhere a deterrent of Truth and Love, and ‘hold fast that which is good’ ” (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, pp. 128–129).
