Believing, trusting, knowing

Belief is like a caterpillar—
crawling here and there,
then entering its chrysalis
of faith and trust and prayer.

What happens in that chrysalis,
unseen by mortal sight?

Unfolding wings of understanding,
knowing how and why,
we too emerge from our cocoon
just like the butterfly.
