Like trees
how like
trees
we are
rooted and grounded
in Love
reaching
up
Word-watered
and -washed
vigorous
resilient
enduring
serene
silent
yet singing
dancing
in storms
purifying
skies
upholding
eagle, hummingbird
squirrel, owl—
they who glide, flutter
scrounge, or perch
raccoons in hollows
nestlings in arms—
the wakeful at night
the newborn of Spirit
trees never judge
they have
no opinions
they just love
reach
strive
be
love
