How big is our circle? Does it reflect God’s inclusive love for all?
The reason that God doesn’t step into a physical world and fix things is that it’s not needed. Christian Science teaches that God and God’s manifestation—including each of us—are the entirety of existence. Everything real and good is already present and intact.
Every time the fear arose that I would not regain full mobility, I challenged that suggestion until I had annihilated it, replacing it with a calm trust in God’s omnipotent ability to maintain my activity and freedom.
Out of despair, I had challenged my view of what I thought God could do. A truly tough trial resulted in a higher understanding of God’s unchanging love for me and the restoration and exaltation of all the good I thought I’d lost.
After she finished singing the hymn to the bird, Mia didn’t feel upset anymore. She told her mom how she had prayed.
I had an absolute conviction that I was in God’s care and that all I had to do was follow His direction.
I hung on to every note, every word, every truth throughout the service. By the time it concluded, I was no longer in pain.
Nothing could spoil the beauty of those bluebells or take away the joy and gratitude I felt walking freely amongst those flowers.
