Freed of menstrual cramps
Menstrual cramps had plagued me since I was a teenager. Sometimes they were so bad that I stayed home from school or canceled plans. I dreaded that time of the month because the cramps would come every time. I’d pray as I had learned how to in Christian Science Sunday School, but I experienced only temporary relief. After several years, having drifted away from Christian Science, I tried heading off the cramps through over-the-counter and prescription medication, but the results were only temporary.
Later, shortly after returning to the study and practice of Christian Science, I experienced a number of quick, remarkable healings and knew, without a doubt, that I wanted to take Christian Science Primary class instruction. Thrilled with the good that was pouring into my life, I knew that this course in spiritual healing would give me the tools to support my individual growth and to help others through prayer.
After taking class, I found such joy in demonstrating what I had learned. So I didn’t want to turn to a pill in search of relief that I knew would be, at best, only temporary. I knew the cramps could be permanently healed. (I’m actually a little surprised by how clearly I knew this!)
