Thank you for the article “Our ‘Gen 1’ heritage” by Susan Tish (Sentinel, January 9, 2023). It was very helpful in thinking about personal and environmental heredity in my and others’ families. It also prompted me to think about the labels Baby Boomer, Millennial, Gen X, and so on. We can drop that baggage as well because we are all Gen 1—God’s image and likeness, as described in the first chapter of Genesis.
