Painful foot injury healed
During the last days of summer in 2022, I was helping my aunt around the house. She wanted to attach to the back of her truck a hood, which was big, metal, and quite heavy. We were able to lift it and place it on, but it wouldn’t latch, and the hood was now stuck on the truck. When we were finally able to remove it, the hood slipped out of our hands and landed on my foot. The discomfort of the quick jab receded fast, so I thought nothing of it.
But a few days later I felt discomfort and pain in that foot. If I stood for very long or tried to move it in a certain direction, it hurt. This occurred on a daily basis. I felt ready to rely on Christian Science for this challenge, and I wasn’t going to give up.
Picking up Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, I opened to the chapter “Creation.” I read for a while, until this passage caught my attention: “Look away from the body into Truth and Love, the Principle of all happiness, harmony, and immortality. Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts” (p. 261).
