Poetry
My sanctuary
A place where I find refuge from
the world’s ensnaring sham
and gain the inner peace I need
to remember who I am
Where Truth displaces erring thoughts
with facts of God’s creation
and time yields to the ceaseless now
of Life’s continuation
Where Love extends to all mankind
the scope of my affection
and selfishness surrenders to
the grace of Soul’s reflection
I find this place—so holy, set apart—
whenever God is foremost in my heart.
