No more headaches
In an article in an early issue of the Sentinel, Mary Baker Eddy wrote, “Beloved Christian Scientists, keep your minds so filled with Truth and Love, that sin, disease, and death cannot enter them. It is plain that nothing can be added to the mind already full. There is no door through which evil can enter, and no space for evil to fill in a mind filled with goodness” (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 210).
I had an opportunity on two separate occasions, years apart, to see the power of these ideas demonstrated almost instantaneously. The first took place around one in the morning. I was pacing the floor in agony with a headache. I had struggled with headaches periodically. I called a Christian Science practitioner for prayerful help. I poured out my concerns about a student in the elementary school class I taught who seemed to be in desperate circumstances.
