The perfect remedy
One evening, my throat felt scratchy and sore. At first, I thought maybe a hot cup of tea with lemon might help, but then I remembered from my study of Christian Science that the best remedy is always turning to God, our true source of health and being.
I reached out to God in prayer, thinking about synonyms, or names, for God that the Discoverer of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, identified in the Bible, including Mind, Soul, Spirit, Life, Truth, and Love. I then began to give myself Christian Science treatment as I had learned to do in a two-week course on Christian Science and its method of healing.
This Science, which is based on Christ Jesus’ teachings, shows us that we are all one with our Father-Mother God, our divine source. So, I started thinking about that oneness, reasoning that I was one with divine Principle (another synonym for God), and that Principle was absolutely the only law that was governing me. Because Principle is good, Principle would never allow any kind of ailment into its realm.
