Boil and inflammation gone
One day my tongue felt as if there were a sharp object piercing it, affecting my speech. I looked in the mirror and saw what appeared to be a boil. I immediately said to myself that this was not of God; therefore, it could not be true of God’s manifestation—everyone, including me, as His perfect, spiritual idea.
The following morning when I was eating breakfast, swallowing was painful. I knew that I needed to pray, but I seemed unable to focus on God. I resorted to gargling with salt water but knew that wasn’t the answer. As I persisted in turning to God, however, I began to pray with the understanding that it is divine Mind, God, that governs, and since Mind is the only cause, there is no other cause. I could experience only good, because God created His universe entirely good. These ideas helped calm the fear.
Whenever the boil and soreness on my tongue came to thought, I continued to know that God’s idea cannot be inflamed or infected. I thought about so many people around the globe who were suffering from the pandemic and the fear that was being perpetuated. I mentally insisted, “No! All that exists is divine Mind, and as its ideas, we can reflect only God—divine Life, Truth, and Love. Our consciousness reflects this Mind, and our substance is Spirit.”
