Love’s presence, felt, cures child
Not long after finding Christian Science, I experienced a healing that set my trust in God’s care on a very firm foundation. Previous to this, I was a sincere Christian who loved God and Jesus, earnestly studied the Bible, and committed myself to Christian teachings. I considered spiritual healing a possibility, although not as a consistent daily practice.
In taking up the study of Christian Science, I began to see healing through prayer in a new light. I saw that it was more reliable than just a hope or faith that healing might be granted. I was beginning to see that a practical Christianity grounded in God’s laws and government was reliable. This Christianly scientific approach gave me confidence to apply it when my eldest child was about four years old and unwell, with a high temperature.
