The purpose of our prayers

What an amazing article! Its strength is in its simplicity. The author explains clearly how we can expand the purpose of our prayers from merely seeking relief from a physical, mental, or emotional problem to transformation and spiritual growth. I'm grateful to the author for helping me better understand that “transformation is healing, and healing is transformation.”

Article that would resonate

I live in a senior living complex. One evening at dinner, a resident told me she couldn’t accept certain aspects of a Sentinel that I’d shared. I prayed to find an article that would resonate with her and found “Welcome home” by Steven Salt (Sentinel, September 27, 2021). After reading it, my friend said Mr. Salt’s take on the Lord’s Prayer gave her the insight she had always yearned for. Later, I learned that she requested five more copies of this article to share with her friends. I am grateful to God.
