Practical healing power
I am so thankful to be a student of Christian Science. I have experienced countless healings in my life through prayer alone. A couple of the most recent follow.
One evening while I was preparing a snack in the kitchen, the knife I was using slipped and cut into my knuckle quite deeply. It made a disturbing sound. Fearful thoughts raced through my head, and I wasn’t sure how to proceed.
I reminded myself firmly that God knows no accident, and I prayed “the scientific statement of being,” which begins, “There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all” (Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 468). I began to understand that “the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way” (Psalms 37:23).
