Praying for Afghanistan
[Barbara Cook Spencer, “How are you praying for Afghanistan?” cssentinel.com, August 26, 2021]
Thank you for this call to pray, and thanks to the author as well for her clear spiritual reasoning. The email came as I headed to bed, and I focused my prayers on the safety of all in Afghanistan. Reading the article in the morning caused me to go deeper. Everyone’s prayers add to the weight of right thinking thrown “into the right scale” (Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 192).

An excellent article and choice of Psalm 23. It illustrates how to deal with suggestions of evil and violence and recognize the omnipotence and omnipresence of divine Love.

Loved every article
I absolutely loved every article in the August 16, 2021, Sentinel—they were all outstanding! Music lovers will especially appreciate Lyle Young’s article, “What the power of music shows us,” which talks about how music can be a “powerful affirmation of harmony.” Thank you to all the contributors and editors!
