One powerful fact can bring healing
“There is nothing ‘the matter’ with Spirit.” This idea came to me one day while I was thinking about some metaphysical concepts. I began to consider how thought affects the body. Most of us have experienced, for instance, our heart beating faster and hands becoming clammy when we’re afraid—and how the body returns to normal when the fear is removed.
When we’re faced with a physical problem, can the way we think about it actually help us find healing? I caught a glimpse of an answer—Yes!—when I awoke in the middle of the night with an upset stomach. I couldn’t sleep, and in the morning I was still sick and weak.
I prayed and read the weekly Bible Lesson found in the Christian Science Quarterly, something I have found helpful many times when seeking healing or solutions. In my prayers, I asked God to show me a different, uplifting, spiritual perspective.
