Inspiring words

Many thanks for the enlightened thoughts by Linda Berckmann in the May 6, 2019, Sentinel article “My pastor lifted me out of darkness.” The pain, sadness, and self-condemnation she speaks of were broken by her recognizing her true nature as reflection—her real self. This is helping me understand more in my study of real repentance—seeing myself as God’s perfect child, perfect reflection. Linda’s awareness of being able to change (repent) her perception of the past and to trust God is peaceful and joyful.

Thanks for the inspiring words of love and light.

Bible insights

I love it when a familiar Bible story gives us an insight we have never thought of before (Heidi Kleinsmith Salter, “Trusting in God and caring for our children,” Sentinel, April 29, 2019)! The way Heidi applied her spiritual discovery to her own family will be helpful to many parents, and grandparents, too.

Correction

In the Bible Lens for “Everlasting Punishment” in the April 29, 2019, Sentinel, the Greek word given for falling (citation 20, Jude 1:24) was incorrect. The correct Greek term is ptaistos—not aptaistos, which has the opposite meaning.
