Healing of foot pain

Kate Sessions Park in San Diego is a beautiful and motivational spot where I enjoy going to write. I love the view from the top of a hill that overlooks Mission Bay, and on a clear day one can see Mexico in the distance.

One day, during a break from writing, I did some stretches and walked, occasionally running, though I wasn’t wearing running shoes. That night, I couldn’t sleep, as I felt excruciating pain in my left foot. Being a Christian Scientist and having seen how turning to God brings healing, I began praying. Many ideas came to thought, including some of my go-to Bible passages: the Lord’s Prayer, which Christ Jesus gave us, and the twenty-third and ninety-first Psalms. They reminded me of my oneness with God, good.

I also prayed with other spiritual truths that I had found so helpful in the past. A favorite is that only good can come to me (or any of God’s children). In addition, I began thanking God: Thank you for my present spiritual perfection. Thank you, divine Truth, for my present spiritual health and well-being. Thank you, divine Love, for loving and caring for me. Thank you, perfect source of infinite good, for Your gift of indestructible health. Thank you for the constant spiritual inspiration that meets my needs. Thank you, God, for making me strong and capable.
